Who we are
HomeMount ("we", "us", "the studio") is a small TV installation workshop. This policy describes how we collect, use, and look after the personal information you share with us when you contact us, hire us, or visit homemount.online.
If anything below is unclear, or you'd like a copy of the data we hold on you, write to studio@homemount.online and we'll reply in plain language within five working days.
What we collect
We try to ask for the smallest amount of information that lets us do the work well.
- Your name, email, and (if you give it) phone number.
- The address where the install will happen, once you book.
- The note and any photos you send describing the room.
- A record of the install, the bracket used, and any workmanship notes.
- Anonymous web analytics about pages visited and how long for.
We don't collect payment card details on this site — billing is handled by our payment processor and your card data never touches our servers.
Why we use it
The note you send us is used for one thing: writing back to you about your install. The booking information is used to plan and complete the visit. Workmanship notes are kept so we can honour our twelve-month promise.
We will never use your information to sign you up for a newsletter, sell anything else, or pass it to a third party for marketing.
Our legal basis
Where the law requires us to name a basis for handling your information, we rely on the following:
- Performance of a contract — to quote, schedule, and complete the install you've asked for.
- Legitimate interest — to run a small business, honour our workmanship promise, and improve the site we send you to.
- Legal obligation — to keep tax and accounting records as the law requires.
Who we share it with
The only third parties who ever see your information are:
- Our email provider, who routes the messages between you and the studio.
- Our accountant, who sees invoice records once a year.
- Our payment processor, who handles card payments and is required to keep your data secure.
Each of these is contractually bound to handle your data with at least the same care we do, and none of them are permitted to use it for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
Your note and our reply are kept for two years from the date of your install, in case you need a workmanship visit. Anonymous analytics are kept for thirteen months. Invoices and tax records are kept for the period required by law (currently six years).
After those windows, the information is deleted from active systems. Backups are rotated and overwritten within a further ninety days.
Cookies and analytics
We use a single privacy-friendly analytics tool to count visits and understand which pages people find useful. It does not set advertising cookies and does not follow you across other sites. See our cookies policy for the full list.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Send you a copy of the information we hold on you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete your information, where we don't have a legal reason to keep it.
- Pause our use of it while we work something out.
The easiest way to do any of these is to write to studio@homemount.online. We respond within five working days and we never charge for the request.
Children
Our service is intended for adults arranging an install in their own home. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us a note, please tell us and we'll remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll change the "last updated" date at the top of the page. Material changes will be summarised in a short note at the top of this page for thirty days after the update.
